The Centre
The New Town bay Rowing Centre is a modern, purpose built facility on the banks of the Derwent River. The Centre is centrally located close to the CBD of Hobart and is easily accessed by automobile, bicycle (using the Hobart to northern suburbs bike track) or a short walk from a nearby bus stop.
The club has bar facilities with extensive views of New Town Bay and beyond to Bedlam Walls on the River Derwent’s Eastern shore. The bar is opened on Thursday and Friday evenings from 4:00 pm plus Sundays from 11.00 am for members and invited guests. (Social membership enquiries should be directed to Buckingham Rowing Club).
This facility is also used for regular club functions and may be hired for special events. The function centre has a commercial kitchen and full bar facilities if these should be required for your event. There are also available large flat screen televisions in strategic locations along with public address/audio equipment.
